Who runs this
The site is a personal project operated by Stone, a private individual based in France, trading as Starbugstone. References to “I”, “we” and “us” mean Stone.
What the site is
The site publishes personal writing about software, AI tools, comics, retro gaming and side projects. It also hosts small interactive tools and a self-hosted comic reader at comics.starbugstone.com. Subdomains may be added or removed as projects come and go.
Everything on the site — articles, images, source code published for reference, the design and layout — is original work unless a source is credited. The comic reader application is also original work; the CBZ, CBR, CB7, CBT and PDF specifications are open industry formats, not ours.
Acceptable use
You may read the site, share links to it, and quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back to the source page. You may not republish full articles, scrape the site at scale, attempt to bypass technical limits, or use the site to attack, harass or misrepresent others.
The comic reader at comics.starbugstone.com stores the files you upload in your own account. We process those files only to deliver them back to you. We do not read, index, or share uploaded comic content.
Intellectual property
All original content on this site is © Starbugstone unless a different copyright holder is named. Source code published in articles is provided for reference; the canonical, runnable source for the comic reader lives at github.com/Starbugstone/panel-page-flip under its own license. Third-party trademarks (Google, AdSense, Dropbox, GitHub, Symfony, React, etc.) belong to their owners and appear here only as factual references.
Third-party services
The site uses Google AdSense to display ads and Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic. Both are off by default and only active where you see them. Ad personalisation is controlled by Google’s consent platform; you can change your choice at any time via the cookie notice. See the Cookie Policy (EU) for the current consent flow.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do our best to keep it running and accurate, but we make no promises about uptime, completeness, fitness for any particular purpose, or that any code or advice published here is suitable for your situation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by French and EU law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including lost data, lost profits or business interruption. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to one hundred euros (€100).
